BETEX 2010 ADMISSION POLICY
- BETEX is a trade event, and is open to registered participants only. Participants must be qualified as international travel buyers, Belize-based suppliers, or press. BETEX is not open to travel consumers.
- International buyers must be affiliated with wholesale or retail travel agencies, tour operations, accredited travel agent organizations or hold airline contracts. A business card and industry-accepted ID are required for admission (IATAN, CLIA, ASTA, NACOA, MPI, OSSN, NACTA, CTO, TRUE). BETEX welcomes travel industry professionals with direct influence over purchasing decisions, including Outbound Tour Operators, Wholesalers, Travel Agents, Group Travel Organizers, Corporate Travel Buyers, Event Planners, Meeting & Conference Organizers, and Online Travel Companies.
- Since BETEX is a business event, non-agent spouses will not be able to participate in the scheduled itineraries and marketplace sessions. However, non-agent spouses may visit Belize with registered participants, and take advantage of limited offers and special discounts being offered by suppliers for pre- and post- tours.
- No more than two individuals from the same company (trade attendees) may participate in the same itinerary.
- International trade attendees who are approved BETEX participants must participate in the planned itinerary. Accommodations are based on double-occupancy, unless otherwise specified.
- Trade attendees must be present at all the marketplace sessions as indicated on the itineraries. Marketplace sessions are designed to encourage business interaction between buyers and suppliers, and full participation is required for a successful event.
- Since participants are required to remain on their assigned itineraries, suppliers may not schedule meetings and tours, nor provide services to international BETEX participants outside of the scheduled itineraries (all services on the scheduled itineraries are pre-arranged between BETEX organizers and suppliers).
- Suppliers must be Belize-based tourism industry service providers, and must be BTIA members.
- Only pre-registered participants who are badge holders will be able to attend BETEX scheduled events.
- Badge holders must not allow their badges to be worn by anyone else. Additional badges are available at an additional fee, as per the event Rules and Regulations.
- The Organizers reserve the right to exclude or remove anyone from BETEX, or disallow participation in future shows to anyone who does not comply with this policy and the rules and regulations of BETEX. All registrations are subject to the approval of BETEX organizers.
